I asked PD8F, the POTA country admin for the Netherlands if any parks could be added in Eastern Flevoland as there was only a single one despite all the green areas. Earlier this week he got back to me and informed me he had added nine(!) new parks. One of these is the Wisentbos, which is walking distance from my home.
Today I noticed that both PD8F and PE1ISP (a common duo) were roving a bunch of new parks and getting their first activations in. Even though I was working, I made time to get out and quickly activate the Wisentbos during my lunch break. I will now forever be listed as the first activator :-).
Conditions and weather were great. Unfortunately both CW keys I brought didn’t want to cooperate and were sending errant dits and dahs, despite that I made 14 short QSOs, of which two from overseas!
