The last time I was at the Kromslootpark was over 10 years ago, and it has been improved a lot. No more parking in the grass, there were picknick benches, and the road is no longer full of potholes.
Unfortunately, during this activation I only picked up some very strong signals and was having a terrible time getting out. This may have had to do with the conditions, but it was also the first time using a 10m length of coax that I had prepared a while ago. Hopefully the coax is in good enough condition and it’s just bad luck.
Only six QSOs were made in about 90 minutes, of these two reached out to me calling CQ on 14.341 and the others were park-to-park contacts that I hunted.
